Dear Mr. President,
July 23, 2018 (SSNA) — The undersigned representatives of South Sudanese Civil Society Organizations in United States express the deepest appreciation to you for taking serious actions to in order to end the political crisis in South Sudan since you took the office. South Sudanese Americans in US are thankful for your leadership to culminate the suffering of our people in South Sudan, who are under the corrupt regime in Juba. The arms embargo, the sanctioning of number of corrupted leaders are superb initiatives that could make them hear the call.
Your administration’s continuation to support the ongoing peace effort in Khartoum, Sudan that brought the two principals together for the first time since July 2016 is recognizable. We acknowledge the unwavering of the humanitarian assistance your government is provided to the displaced South Sudanese. These efforts and many more have shown how much you, as a person and leader, cares as well as the deep compassion the US citizens have for the South Sudanese. We thank you so much sir for all these efforts!
On behalf of the South Sudanese Americans in Diaspora, SSIAHR and ASSD plus coalition members wanted to extend our deep gratefulness to you, Mr. President Donald Trump, the US Ambassador to the U.N Niki Hailey, the U.N Human Rights Councils, and the U.N Security Council member, who faithfully joint your exertions for the long overdue and awaited action against South Sudan’s corrupted regime.
These leadership actions will indeed save lives of the innocent South Sudanese, who have been butchering by their corrupted leaders. We ask you please to accept our gratitude and application for the excellent job done. Again, we thank you for your leadership and dedication. We extend our gratitude to the U.S Congress as well.
